Opened in 1950 it hosted its first game on October 7th to the crowd of 15,000. The since expansion into what it is today was due largely in part to the success of the late great and longtime hall of fame football coach Bobby Bowden whose name is engraved in history as in November of 2004 the Florida Legislature added Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium. The uniqueness of the all brick structure, stained glass, and statutes have created an atmosphere that is one of a kind and creative to the rest of college football. Within the brick walls of this magical structure you can feel the energy of fans, the players, and ultimately the history that’s been played out in Doak.

Patrons can be seen taking videos and pictures of the surrounding area as it makes for such a memory that cannot be described with words. “My family has been coming to Doak Campbell for 3 generations. Same seats, new memories, the same beautiful experience” says season ticket holder Johnathan Hurst. Another former student Amanda Young had a very unique approach to being inside of Doak, “being a FSU cheerleader and getting to look amongst the thousands of fans each and every home game was an experience unlike any other and I am grateful for my time on the field and i cannot wait to send my future kids here.” A notable landmark that also doubles as the universities testing center, student services office, athletic department, and more has built such a wonder and story.

It’s unrivaled appearance accompanied with the success over the years has created and environment that people dream of experiencing one day. As it is the largest continuous brick structure in the western hemisphere and the second largest continuous brick structure in the world only behind the Great Wall of China the echo’s of the war chant bellowing out can be heard and felt through the country when the Noles are on primetime. It’s an experience unlike any other in a location that is seen as unconquerable. Unconquered as the Seminole tribe it’s engraved on the statute of Osceola and Renegade on the southeast entrance to the stadium a landmark that is picturesque and matches perfectly with Doak Campbell stadium. Words cannot describe the feeling and ambiance of this great stadium. Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium is a blessing upon college football. Unique, Unbelievable, Unconquered.
